Domain Management

Here you will find information about the buttons in your domain's Control Panel.

Please keep in mind these features are not supported by all types of TLDs.

Renew

Here you can choose a period and renew your domain name. You will also receive information about when it is registered and when will expire.

Contact details

Here you will find the contact details that you entered when you registered your domain. Note that you can't change them if the Privacy Protection is turned on.

Name servers

This button allows you to choose the name servers for your domain. Note that the name servers below may not appear in the same order as you entered them. The order is not important and will not affect your domain name resolution in any manner. Also, The required minimum amount of name servers for the different TLDs varies. (for example – 2 for .com). You will see the minimum amount of name servers in the blue info box or the red asterisk (*) next to the name server.

Child name servers

This button allows you to add child name servers for your host. The child name servers are branded name servers and you can use them if you choose our DNS Branding feature. This means that our DNS servers (eg ns1.cloudns.net) can be custom configured with your own names (eg ns1.yourdomain.com). Actually, you will use our IP addresses but the names will be custom-labeled, so our name servers will look like yours.
*This option is not available for Free customers.

It is important to mention that not all TLDs have the "Child name servers" button. The child name servers for these TLDs can be set from the "Name servers" tap.

DNSSEC

Here you will be able to add the needed DS/DNSKEY values required for the correct DNSSEC configuration.
These records are usually automatically generated in the DNS zone for that domain name first.

Privacy Protection

When you buy a domain name from ClouDNS, you have to provide accurate contact information otherwise your domain registration could be terminated as it would be in violation of the registration agreement.
This information should be publicly available to everyone via the public WHOIS database.
Privacy Protection ensures that your private information is not published by replacing all your publicly visible contact details with alternate contact information, provided by ClouDNS.

Once Privacy Protection is activated, you will receive an approval e-mail. You must approve the activation.

Theft Protection

Domain Theft Protection protects your domain from unauthorized transfers.
We recommend that you keep this enabled, except when you want to transfer your domain out.

Domain secret

Here you will find your Transfer Auth Code, if you decide to transfer your domain to another Registrar. Note that the domain secret will not be obtained if your Privacy and Theft Protections are enabled.

Change the owner

From this option, you can change the owner of your domain name. The domain can be transferred only to a customer who has an account in the ClouDNS system because his ID and email should be provided.

DNS zone

Here you will be redirected to your DNS zone, where you will be able to manage your records.
